If you are already paying for ads on Facebook, using retargeting ads is definitely a marketing strategy to consider! Retargeting ads are aimed at people who already like, know, and trust you and have already engaged with your business on some platform, whether that be on your website, social media channels, or marketing emails. Ready to give it a try? Here are 5 tips on getting the most out of your retargeting ads.

1. Don’t over budget. Because your retargeting audience is smaller you want to aim at spending less than $10 a day to avoid annoying your audience with ads.

2. Change up your images and graphics. Since your retargeting audience is more likely to have already seen some of your ads/graphics, it is important to change up these images (on at least a weekly basis) so that they are not constantly seeing the same thing over and over again.

3. Combine retargeting audience groups. It is best to combine all of your retargeting audience into one group instead of separating them into smaller groups based on the platforms they interacted with you on. This will save you money (fewer ads to pay for) and help you avoid bombarding them with too many ads.

4. Be more personal. You have already had a formal, more professional interaction with them; now is the time to let what makes your business special shine!

5. Choose all the placements (aka ad channels). There was something about your brand that they liked, so remind them on as many channels as possible!
